Weren't we told it was an insurrection when Trump supporters clashed with Capitol police for ONE DAY on January 6, 2020, and yet now that entire communities are engaged in clashes with federal law enforcement, legacy media insists it's nothing more than lawful protest (even as they do so without a permit, while blocking roads, explicitly threatening violence, etc.)?
For those who still don't quite grasp the problem, Sanctuary City/State laws mean never referring a noncitizen criminal to ICE so they can be arrested at more secure venues like police stations, courts or prisons. It means that even if there is a serial killer in the community, it is only a local law enforcement matter, never federal. It means that when migrants are victimized by members of their own community, whether it's domestic abusers or targeted by MS-13, they can't expect any relief from the problem. The criminals are protected at all costs!
January 6 defendants were tracked down for years afterward, whereas in the aftermath of the George Floyd protests in 2020 Antifa was awarded an $87M payout by cities nationwide for the insult of clashing with police (Civil Rights lawsuits) despite a half dozen or so people dead and a record $2B in damages, per insurance industry claims. (Much of that damage in Minneapolis and elsewhere has still not been repaired!)
Americans who are under the impression that Trump reinvented the wheel on immigration to make it unusually brutal need to wake up to the Sanctuary City scam as an underlying factor in the drama around ICE actions. They also need to revisit basic American civics. Walz, Gavin Newsom and others are subject to the Supremacy Clause (no jurisdiction at the State level over immigration law enforcement). Trump did not invent immigration laws, borders or ICE!
How many of these leftists even appreciate that President Obama still holds the record for deportations ("Deporter in Chief")?
If boomer Democrats with cognitive decline or young "Democratic socialists" who were in diapers in the 1990s have any doubt about immigration law enforcement, they can look up vintage Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and others on YouTube. There it will become obvious that immigration enforcement was once something both parties generally agreed upon, until Trump came on the political scene and the narrative-makers in media recast it as nothing but "xenophobic" and "racist" to enforce borders and immigration law.
What else has changed in the past decade? Mainstream media is part of the misinformation problem. They have incited people into risking their lives over a narrative that there is no due process. Even former Gov. Jesse Ventura ranted that ICE was arresting people without warrants. What he has apparently forgotten or never knew is that noncitizens are subject to deportation on the order of a court (administrative process). That's what ICE is acting on in the end, even if the person in question has also been arrested for ties to gangs, pedophilia, home invasion robbery, identity theft or other crimes!
Another difference from the Trump era vs. Obama and earlier is the resistance is now being driven by a desire to create social media content. Apps exist specifically to stalk ICE and people who confront them. Now that Americans think they know how the sausage is made, they are convinced Trump created it. He did not!
Finally, Obama did not have to contend with Sanctuary laws to the extent that Trump (and even Biden enforcement actions) has faced. (As a side note, Obama was also accused of militarizing the police and launched the DHS Fusion Centers, creating fears mostly among the right at the time that his goal was to nationalize law enforcement — arguably a much more "dictatorial" thing than anything Trump has proposed but because Obama was a democrat he largely received a free pass until the Furgeson incident in MO.)
Again: When local authorities refuse to cooperate with federal citing Sanctuary status, all it does is tell noncitizens that no matter how they exploit members of their own communities, let alone the broader public, they will not be subject to deportation. This empowers the very state of lawlessness that Democrats are constantly accusing Trump of inflicting on them!
I have to believe that Renee Good and her partner are not pro rapist (one of the individuals ICE was there to remove that day). But she, like many Americans, have been subjected to the Minnesota Star Tribune and national media agenda to portray ICE actions as efforts to remove their hardworking neighbors without regard for whether they pose a safety threat or not.
Clearly DHS messages about who they arrested, whether by posting to the web or holding a press conference, is not reaching the streets. Perhaps it's time for ICE to begin fighting the PR battle in a way that is harder for the low information masses to ignore. Mount a display on their armored vehicles and scroll the court deportation orders and rap sheets of these individuals once on location. When the leftists show up with their cell phones and the media with their cameras, they will also expose their social media feeds to information about who is being removed and why. It's harder to maintain a climate of outrage when facts begin to rise above narrative.
In closing, Renee Good's blood is not just on the hands of her wife for egging her on. It's on the hands of Minnesota Star Tribune and other media activists who instead of an impartial reporting of the facts traffic in clickbait, outrage and (unprotected!) incitement to violence.
IDK how I got on your pro-fascist email blast but please go fuck yourself.
That small dicked little ice agent shot that woman for daring to not 'respect-ma-athoritah'.
I saw the video. We all know his type. Now the prototypical ice agent / brown shirt. We don't need an investigation. And we don't need you running cover saying 'the governments response is entirely plausible. That woman was probably a terrorist'. 😆
Hope someone shoves your dogshit book up your own ass so it can be with its own kind.
Gov. Walz should be held accountable for his rhetoric, that is causing chaos in cities. Why isn't he trying to calm the situation instead of promoting violence?
Great observation. I had the very same reaction when I read Tampon Timmy's implicit threat to use the MN National Guard to oppose federal enforcement of our national immigration law. Shades of Fort Sumpter. The raving lunatic should have been arrested on the spot for insurrection

Are you all as stupid in reality as you sound in writing? God help us!!
